Huge shout out and thank you to GHS Cheerleaders led by Mrs. Reed, GHS Pep band led by Mr. Tilley, and GHS Pep Club led by Mrs. Anderson. All of these groups have gone above and beyond to encourage school spirit, senator pride, and community and student involvement. Band and cheer you guys looked great in the parade and are doing a fantastic job as always!
Mrs. Anderson and art students those window paintings downtown are fantastic. If you haven’t seen the window paintings yet, be sure to check them out! Also, Mrs. Anderson and Pep Club did a fantastic job putting together the school-wide Advisory Olympics. It was really great to see everyone involved and working together, great job Mrs. Anderson!
Finally, a huge shout out to the GHS Student body officers and Class Leadership! They have worked extremely hard to organize all of the many fun events this year and deserve immense praise for this year’s outstanding homecoming.
Now to announce our homecoming class competition winners:
It was a very close battle for homecoming this year right up to the very end. I have really enjoyed watching each class come together and work incredibly hard to have some of the best hallways, floats, Powder Puff, Power Buff, and Buff Squad, and lip sync performances, and competitions I have seen. We really do have an exceptional group of young people here at GHS!
In the end it was the big ticket competitions, but not the spirit stick that tipped the points, in this year’s neck and neck competition. Speaking of the spirit stick, huge shout out to Mr. Patterson for putting together this year’s intense spirit stick competition.
