NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the position of trustee is open for Zone 5 of Gooding Joint School District, Gooding and Lincoln Counties. Any interested parties should submit a letter of interest to the Board Clerk, 507 Idaho Street, Gooding, ID 83330. The term of this position expires December 31, 2029 whereas a public election will take place to appoint a trustee. Per Idaho Code 33-504, the board of trustees shall appoint to such vacancy a person qualified to serve as trustee of the school district provided there remains in membership on the board of trustees a majority of the membership thereof, and the board shall notify the state superintendent of public instruction of the appointment. Such appointment shall be made within ninety (90) days of the declaration of vacancy. After ninety (90) days, if the board of trustees is unable to appoint a trustee from the zone vacated, the board of trustees may appoint a person at – large from within the boundaries of the school district to serve as the trustee from the zone where the vacancy occurred.

Beginning at the intersection of Main St and the Little Wood River and running thence Easterly along the river to the east line of the W . NW . of Section 4, T6S, R15E, BM; thence South along the east line of the W . NW . of Section 4 to 1850 S; thence West along 1850 S to 2000 East; thence South along 2000 East to U.S Highway 26; thence West along U.S Highway 26 to the Twin Falls Northside Canal; thence Northerly along said Twin Falls Northside Canal to its intersection with 14th Ave; thence East along 14th Ave to Colorado St; thence North 1 block along Colorado St to 13th Ave; thence East 4 blocks along 13th Ave to Main St; thence North approximately 4 blocks to the Point of Beginning.
The population of zone 5 is 1443.
