New Gym Chairs for Gooding Middle School

Gooding Middle School is excited to announce the arrival of brand-new gymnasium chairs, generously donated by the Idaho Army National Guard. For more than 20 years, students and community members relied on aging, hand-me-down chairs inherited from the high school—many of which were worn out, unstable, and in need of constant repair. The outdated seating often made large school events challenging, as staff worked hard to piece together enough usable chairs for sporting events and other activities. The new chairs not only offer improved comfort and safety but also give the gym a cleaner, more modern look. This upgrade ensures a better experience for athletes, families, and visitors during school activities throughout the year.

This project was made possible through a strong partnership with Idaho Army National Guard member Ulysses Mittelstadt, who worked closely with GMS to secure the much-needed replacement furniture. 1SG Mittelstadt helped navigate the process from start to finish, ensuring the school received high-quality seating that will serve students for years to come. His efforts highlight the Guard’s ongoing commitment to community support and outreach. Gooding Middle School extends its sincere appreciation to the Idaho Army National Guard and to 1SG Mittelstadt for their dedication to local schools, their investment in youth, and their positive impact on the Gooding community.
