Objections to Learning Materials
Despite the qualifications of persons who evaluate and recommend learning materials and the care those persons take in selecting valuable materials for student use, occasional objections to certain items will be made. In order to properly consider and reply to any objections regarding recommended or adopted material, the criticism of such materials shall be directed in writing to the Superintendent. The District will provide a form for making objections, and will consider only those which include the complainant’s signature and current address.
The Superintendent shall review the objection and report back his or her findings to the complainant(s). The complainant(s) may appeal to the Board of Trustees who will make the final decision as to the objection.
